Tapping – it’s weird

In Dec 2017 Healthline published a medically reviewed story about something called  Emotional Freedom Technique   aka  tapping. It really does look super weird when you  see someone doing it. Tapping, that is. It’s the DIY  acupuncture you have when you don’t have someone  poking you  with needles. By tapping on certain meridian points you are restoring balance to your body.

‘It’s believed that restoring this energy balance can relieve symptoms a negative experience or emotion may have caused.

Based on Chinese medicine, meridian points are thought of as areas of the body energy flows through. These pathways help balance energy flow to maintain your health. Any imbalance can influence disease or sickness.

Acupuncture uses needles to apply pressure to these energy points. EFT uses fingertip tapping to apply pressure….

EFT tapping is an alternative acupressure therapy treatment used to restore balance to your disrupted energy. It’s been an authorized treatment for war veterans with PTSD, and it’s demonstrated some benefits as a treatment for anxiety, depression, physical pain, and insomnia.’

The reason I’m posting this now is that the  12th Annual World Tapping Summit is coming up towards the end of this month. Yep. . It’s a big thing. Like 2.5 million people big. It’s a free event if you are interested in having a go at doing something totally different and a little weird. I am. You never know, it might just make a difference. Here’s the link to sign up .
