I learnt something new yesterday. Those kind of days are always good. So what, you may ask, did I learn?
For as long as I can remember I have had difficulties sleeping. I even wrote about the curse of insomnia earlier this year. Lately, I’ve been waking up after 3 or 4 hours and BING! wide awake. Tossing and turning, restless legs. All that makes bed time an uncomfortable experience for both of us. For me especially as I twist and turn, desperately trying to keep my impossibly fidgety legs still. So as not to disturb himself. Of course, the more you try, the worse it gets. Murphy’s Law as a lot to answer for I tell ya.
I have heard many times about the magic of melatonin. But to get the good quality stuff can be tricky. You will be amazed to learn that the humble little green nut – aka as pistachio – is packed to the rafters with the stuff. Two nuts a day is enough apparently.
I will certainly be giving it a trial.

Just to let you know I have now been taking 6 pistachio nuts at bedtime for the last three nights, Sleeping so well. My neighbour does same with same result. She gives them to her autistic child too, who has had huge issues sleeping. Good now.

I am dosing myself with 6 at bedtime and sleeping like a baby.
