Have you heard about heart coherence? I’ve been listening to a series of podcasts about Ancient Medicines for Modern Illness in the last week. Hosted by Nick Polizzi from Sacred Science, it’s a fascinating series. What is becoming increasingly clear is that there is profound wisdom in what some call ‘old wives tales’ or ‘witchcraft’. Emerging scientific evidence is now validating the role healing herbs play in health and wellbeing. There is a role for integrative medicine – a working together, hand in hand with alternative approaches and conventional/modern medicine – which, after all, is still very young in comparison to traditions some of which are thousands of years old.
The other thing that keeps coming up, not just in the podcasts, is the wisdom that lies in our heart. The HeartMath Institute is doing a lot of really interesting research not the least of which is about heart coherence.

Steps for Peace
“Coherence is the state when the heart, mind and emotions are in energetic alignment and cooperation. It is a state that builds resiliency – personal energy is accumulated, not wasted, – leaving more energy to manifest intentions and harmonious outcomes.” Dr. Rollin McCraty, HeartMath Institute
Very good but I kept get distracted looking at his hair 😬
Close your eyes 🙂
Lol 🙄
Fascinating!
It is, isn’t it!
Very interesting but I have to wonder how much interference comes from outside EMFs like cellplones etc.
I learnt yesterday that taking a cold shower gets rid of most of that interference!
Haven’t heard that but it is intereting.
Everyone is capable of increasing and maintaining personal coherence. One of the simplest paths to personal heart coherence is generation of positive feelings such as compassion, care and love. It’s all about positivity. Positivity is always the key to better life.
thank you for sharing this……….
🙂
I’m fascinated by the mind-body related material that’s emerging too. I think there’s a lot to it.
The HeartMath website is really interesting if you want to see what else is out there…
I’ll check it out!
