My favourite hack I have seen in the last while was to pour your pickle juice out of the jar into ice cube trays. Freeze and then use in your Ceasars. 🙂
What a good idea!
I cannot waste food. I was brought up with rationing until well into my teens, and leftovers get eaten! I am currently in the USA and as usual am horrified at the amount of waste.
Like you, in our home food was never wasted. To this day we use left overs. Some of the best meals are made with them!
Great tips! I am born and live in the us and I agree we waste a ton, a TON of food! I work in public schools and I see first hand how much is wasted just in our cafeterias alone. And this is federal law!!! It’s sick! I have done some of these things before and thankfully, a local grocery sells bruised fruits/veggies for a discounted price. I buy and freeze or eat that day or the next. They even mark down prices on meat. If it is almost expired, they will discount it and sell. I buy and freeze or eat that day or the next.
It’s no different here, Gretchen. It HAS To change!!!!
