Requiesce in pace

For our friend

who earned his ‘Angel’s wings’

yesterday after a lengthy illness.

The best things in life are

the people we love…

the places we’ve been…

and the memories we’ve made along the way

  1. Im so sorry for the loss of your friend Raili. This is just beautiful. I just finished watching a show …. a character in the show, James died. Needless to say the tears started to flow…then I came here. Thank you for sharing this.

    1. ank you, Linda. He was a good friend. Even though time and distance separated us for many years (he returned to live in Finland) whenever he visited it was like no time had lapsed. Those friends are special.

  2. I’m so sorry for your loss, Raili. I’m sure you take comfort in the knowledge that he is at peace, in a place where there is no pain.
I’d like to add that this is a lovely, simple tribute to him.

    1. Thank you , Jane. He was a good friend. And a minister in the Finnish Lutheran Church, working for the Overseas Mission in his latter years before retiring. Unfortunately, by then, he was already sick.

      1. I think he did. He lived and worked in several countries, including Australia. And retired to a beautiful cottage by a lake in the countryside. Sadly, he just didn’t get to enjoy it very long.
