You and I are diamonds in the sky
What do you see when you look in the mirror? This is a selection of what I have seen over time . A changing parade of styles and colours …
I wonder what that says about me? Obviously I like to change my looks. I like colour. I’m partial to experimenting on my locks. I use my hair as an artist’s palette and play with it. Some have called me adventurous and daring. Me? It’s fun. Life is too short to always take it seriously. I guess it reflects my childlike, mischievous side.
As I reflect further on me, myself and I, I have come to the conclusion that what I said about wearing purple and being awesome still applies!
As the song says – Shine like a diamond!

Steps for Peace
Diamonds were nothing more than carbon, but carbon in a crystal lattice that made it the hardest known mineral in nature. That was the way we all were headed. I was sure of it. We were destined to be diamonds!”

I used to change hair colour a lot ! Personally for me I think I was trying to express myself/ find myself/ create myself, 🤔 not sure really. Now I use paint 🎨 on canvas that way I can go where the mood takes me . 😉
I paint my hair 🙂 Not good to do too often, though, is it!
No although I used to use a product called B4colour and that stripped the colour out before I applied new colour. It was a gentle effective way to move colour
I’ve not ventured into the DIY of it. I would probably create something disastrous and have to shave all my hair off!
Lol
I think you’re a streaker Raili!
My hair’s getting a bit thin – but then who wants fat hair?
My Dad went bald early. He used to sit with a rabbit on his head. He hoped that, from a distance, it looked like a hare.
Ha ha!! One of Markku’s uncles was convinced to shave off all his hair, plaster his head with cow dung and wait for it grow back. It never did 🙂
I use to experiment with cool colors for hair. I like blue hair but hubby is not crazy about the idea.
I don’t ask – I just do !
😉
I love all types of jewels. I am an Onyx, and maybe that is why!!
Onyx is beautiful 🙂
You really are daring. I love all those bright colors.
Funnily enough, I don’t think of it as daring at all 🙂 You should try it. I think hot pink or purple would look stunning on you!
Now that wasn’t so hard, was it? 😀 Personally I’m really drawn to the Parrot look! Gorgeous!
Great pictures, btw!
Ta 🙂
I like the parrot look best too 🙂
Lady Raili, you are stunning. I looked at your photos over and over again. I love colours. They spice up one’s look and your hair colours suit you.
Awww, thank you so much Princess Jacquie 🙂
I’ve changed my hair color a time or two or three, but never as bold as you with colors, though giving my son-in-law access to using his clippers on my head of hair no problem!!! 😄
That parrot look was quite something Raili! especially when I saw you it in the flesh with the colours, was very subtle and nice. 😊
My favourite, I think
I’ve been thinking about putting a purple or pink streak in my hair for over a year. I just noticed L’Oreal came out with a color product that you can spray in your hair and it washes out. I’m planning to show it to my colorist so she can talk me out of it or talk me into it. 🙂
Go for it !
Lovely thick hair!
I have never painted my hair or my nails, or painted my skin with a tattoo. Guess I am missing out on so much fun!
You gotta try it at least once – you do know, don’t you that there’s wash off tat’s around? If you don’t like it you take it off. Same with hair colour and nails. You can even get fake ones 🙂 Just sayin’ One of our neighbours dyes his hair orange 🙂
Aha – thank you, Soul Gifts. Orange is such a beautiful and bright colour. And wash off tats sound just the thing for a party.
