Finland is 100 years old

On Dec 6th this year, Finland celebrated a hundred years of independence. Given the state of our internet at the time (still not resolved) I couldn’t do anything about sharing that momentous news with you. Finns are good at celebrating – here’s a list of all the special occasions throughout the year  and their related traditions.

A belated Happy Birthday to my country of birth. They have been celebrating this important event all year.

  1. Congrats, Yippee 100 years of independence, may it stay that way! Lovely music, that guy on the bass guitar is good. The video explaining how Finland came to be be independent was excellent. I was ready to google it but the video did the job for me.
