Find somewhere quiet where you will be undisturbed for half an hour or so. A sacred space where you feel calm and peaceful…
Relax your mind, your body…
Invite your Inner Child to come and play with you…
Allow time for the two of you to connect…
You may visualise the presence…
sense it…
hear it…
see colours…
have a deep inner knowing…
If you have none of these experiences it doesn’t matter. Simply trust and it will be so. However it occurs is just right for you…
Imagine you are three years old…
You are literally jumping with excitement…
The sun is shining. It feels so cosy and warm on your face. The sky is a pretty blue with cotton wool for clouds…
You look at them to see what pictures they make…
Laughter bubbles up from deep inside your belly as you see what the clouds are showing you…
In the big old tree with the swing on it sits a kookaburra. It laughs along with you…
You start singing “Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry, merry king of the bush is he. Laugh kookaburra, laugh. Kookaburra gay your life must be.” The song makes you feel so happy…
You run over to the tree swing and hop on. It is just right for you…
Pushing hard with your legs, you get the swing to start. You push even harder. The swing goes higher and higher making you feel like you are flying like a bird. A kookaburra! It’s so much fun !!!
You’ve spotted a bunch of pretty yellow flowers on the other side of the tree. They look so inviting you want to go and smell them. You let the swing slow down until it stops. Then you hop off and run over to the flowers…
Pushing your nose deep into the middle of one of them you breathe in deeply. It smells so sweet. Just like mum…
The thought of mum makes you want to run inside and give her a great big hug. So you do…
She picks you up, gives you a big cuddle and kiss and tells you that she loves you sooooo much! And that makes your heart feel SO BIG it’s like it can’t fit inside your body…
You sigh with happiness. It’s been a good day…..
Gently bring yourself back to the here and now, bringing back with you the feelings and experiences of the Inner Child.
Remember the joy of the Now Moments.
Remember to integrate some of those into each of your days.

To those of you who have asked for audio of my guided meditations – at present I am working my way through YouTube tutorials.
Once again, thanks for this needed serenity. And about the audio, take your time. No pressure. 😊
Thank you Khaya 🙂 I’m a slow learner when it comes to IT !
I want that inner child button! What a great one. I’d never heard a kookaburra – tho’ I did learn the song as a child and was told that kookaburras actually laughed. They DO!
No pressure here either – but I’m thrilled that you will eventually be posting these meditations in a format where I can close my eyes and just give in. I can’t recall much when I was 3, but I could imagine it easily. Thanks, Raili.

I’m so glad you liked it. The kookaburra laugh is unique:)
It certainly is. Thanks for letting me hear it – I would probably never have thought to google it.
