TRH’s Dream Machine

Some of you may recall that The Retired Husband (TRH) purchased his dream machine a couple of months ago.  Alas, problems arose. It was an anxious several weeks before the truck safely  delivered it home.

Since then, our trusty mechanic has inspected it. And could not fix it. There followed many enquiries and calls to specialists. Eventually one was found who could do the work. Last week, the dream machine was sent to hospital.

In answer to the tow truck driver’s query ‘who will pay for this’  I happily announced it would be ‘the walking wallet’ as TRH describes himself.

The yet-to-be-named machine is now safe in the hands of his doctor. Who assured TRH it would be a simple, risk free operation. He anxiously awaits the call announcing all is well and it can back come home with its innards fixed.

  1. Glad he finally found someone who could fix it. Would have been a shame to spend all that money to buy it and have it be a waste. I was noticing the new construction in the background. Your neighborhood must be going to look really different!

    1. Yes – to both. That two storey monstrosity is the slowest build in history ! It’s been happening for at least 3 months I reckon. There’s 2-3 workers at it five days a week. To have such a house in our little cul-de-sac is not a welcome addition, but nought we can do about it. There’s another one across the road that is almost finished. It’s tiny on a little sliver of land. Then there will be another two either side of the big one. They started digging the foundation for one of them yesterday…. Council is allowing land subdivisions and big houses now. They’re reaping in the revenue with double the land taxes!

  2. I do hope that the Dr at the Hospital is taking good care of this precious Dream Machine, And its not in intensive care? But getting a full MOT and being monitored for any BP highs or lows..
    It looks a beauty.. 🙂
