Cleaning with coke and toothpaste and other stuff

I bet you never knew you could use  coke for cleaning.

After you see this, you will probably never want to  drink it again!

  1. If I have some coke in the house which is rare (usually bought by others for socials) I clean the bogs with it 🙂

  2. I thought that was what Coke was for – surely people don’t drink it!
There were a lot of ideas there that I’ve never seen, so I’ve scribbling down some notes. I had no idea that WD40 was such a good cleaning fluid.
Lighter fuelwasn’t mentioned. It’s brilliant for removing labels that nothing else will shift, and in Oxfam we use baby wipes for cleaning all sorts of things, including leather – but we keep them well away from babies bottoms!

    1. Baby wipes are toxic 😦 I use eucalyptus oil for stickly labels. Works a treat. I do see people walking out of the supermarkets with oodles of Coke in their trolleys. And it’s not for cleaning !

      1. Thanks for that tip. Eucalyptus oil would have the extra advantages of smelling good and clearing the sinuses. I’ll change my wicked ways 🙂

  3. Well that was a fun way to start the day. I knew about Coke cleaning acid off of batteries. I see my dad wore it on a car battery many times when I was little. And I’ve always been a fan of baking soda and vinegar. Once in a while we would brush her teeth with a little baking soda and salt and it really makes mouth feel clean sometimes so much it felt too clean. And my grandmother would dig your nails into a lemon to whiten the tips of them while she’s getting rid of food smells and she could rub it on the back of her hand to try to bleach age spots. I’m not sure if that last part worked. I have a havk for you. I just found out that if I chew gum while cutting onions I don’t cry. Prior to that I had discovered that wearing ski goggles while cutting onions keep me from crying. Thanks so much for posting this delightful video. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now if only I could get my husband to stop drinking sodas…

    1. I have heard the one about lemons and age spots. Also good for lightening blonde hair. I don’t know that I would wear goggles when cutting onions, lol ! I just grin and bear it. Sme onions are worse than others. Thanks for the added tips. Good luck with the soda. Sugar is so addictive. Some research suggests worse than cocaine! Watch this documentary called Sugar Crash with him. It’ll scare the bejesus out of you –

      1. Mine did, surprisingly. He was shocked and is now reading food labels with me – and, wait for it, having steel cut oat porridge for breakfast ! Miracles do happen 🙂 Keeping my fingers crossed for you x
