  1. He’s really something, isn’t he? I loved what he said right at the first about the future being made up of encounters. I’m sure his comments about “the culture of waste” was not popular among a lot of wealthy people. But it’s so true that our culture revolves around money, not people. And Ii loved the Mother Teresa quote: One cannot love unless it is at their own expense…. Thanks for posting this, Raili. I knew he’d done it, but hadn’t looked for it yet.

    1. I thought it was a heartfelt and powerful message, and particularly more so coming from his position. There’s always naysayers and critics, but how can anyone argue against the humanity of what he had to say!

      1. Oh there are people in his own camp arguing about him and the things he says. From what Bran has been telling me he’s not very popular with a lot of the clergy around him. The sad fact is there are always gonna be people who would rather be right than have peace. Tragic, isn’t it…

  2. Lovely message from the Pope. Really struck a chord with me, but then Pope Francis has a different mentality from the ones around him or before him. I think he is outstanding in expressing his humanity and getting the message of love across irrespective of race, religion, age, gender.
