SERENITY
The air is tranquil and crisp
A soft ocean breeze caresses and soothes
Above, in the azure blue sky
a flight of pelicans whirl and wheel
an elegantly effortless aerial ballet
flying in formation
painting the sky
with the patterning of their
silhouetted wings
*
Breathing slowly and deeply
merging with the smells sights and sounds
a serenity ascends
filling the senses
evoking stillness
wonder
peace
deep within
Another early post. Tomorrow we have another long day of travel ahead of us.

Steps for Peace
If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart
— Lao Tzu (570-490 B.C.)
Simplicity at its best. Stunning and subtle words.
Thank you 🙂

Thanks Jacquie! We’re roadtripping at the moment, so unfortunately I haven’t got an opportunity to party with you much as I’d love to. Enjjoy !
You are sure having fun. Enjoy the trip 🙂
🙂
Oh wow, Raili! What a great quote from Lao Tzu. I’ve gotta come back and catch up on these meditations when this crazy month is over. Travel safely, you guys!
Thanks Calen :)We had a kamikaze bird suicide on our bonnet, leaving a big ding in its wake. Then we had a wallaby (like a mini kangaroo) hit the side of our car on Friday night. Lots of damage to both passsenger doors. I saw it hop away – don’t know how badly it was hurt. Hopefully no more wildlife incidents. We leave soon to take Marc back to base.
OML!!! Are you guys ok? Is that normal for things like that to happen???
We’re OK. The car is not – both doors will need replacing. Insurance job. It’s always a risk when travelling, esp country roads around dusk, dawn and night travel when they are awake. You see a lot of dead ones on the roadsides. I’ve never been in a car before when we’ve been hit which is pretty amazing given the amount of travelling we’ve done. This was only a little one luckily. For us – not it.
Lovely post! I truly enjoy your peaceful poem & meditation! We have a similar mindset. 🙂
Thank you so much 🙂 And thank you for the follow! I’ll be around to your place soon – we’re on the road for the next week
Great, I’m sure we’ll see each other around!! And traveling, lucky lucky. I love to travel. I hope you enjoy wherever you are going and come back with stories!! 🙂
Working on it !
Nicely painted, Raili.
Enjoy your travelling.
🙂
