Ta-dah !!! The entry way is finished. Finally. Because it’s such a small space it’s impossible to show it all in one photo. But this is what you see when you open the front door.
TRH (The Retired Husband) has done a stirling job of polishing all the tarnished brass fittings. He even found a varnish that will keep them in good nick.
And here he is fitting on the last and essential missing piece. Originally I had thought to put in a hallway table. Then I had a think. And decided to go for a milk glass shelf. We already have two on the wall in the next room so it works well in continuing the theme.
Looking into the entry from inside – this is what you see. It’s light and airy. I found a lovely rose gold metal basket to sit on the shelf. Currently it’s got some baubley things in it. I can see myself changing it around now and then. Like putting in a candle or flowers. On the other end of the shelf are three crystal spheres to boost the good vibes – the large white one is selenite, on the left is a honey calcite and the smallest is rose quartz.
I love it! And so does everyone else.

PS – road trip update. We are overnighting in Mt Gambier with Shalini, having driven 480 km on a very quiet road. Leave early in the morning (4.30) so we can get to our ferry crossing on time. It’s a long day of driving tomorrow. We pick up Marc from Cerberus Base and then continue on to Lakes Entrance where we expect to arrive around 5ish.
So I’m posting tomorrow’s Echoes now before I head off to bed.
Beautiful Raili loved the simplicity in the decor
Thank you 🙂
welcome.
Lovely airy entrance Raili, love the spheres and the rose quartz sphere particularly. You see the termites were “good” for something.
There is always a silver lining to every cloud.🐜🌦🌈
You’re right, there is!
Hall entrance is beautiful and welcoming. Safe travels and enjoy your time with your son.
Thank you – we have arrived at our furthest destination. Here for two days and then we start the return journey 🙂
