BIRTH
She moved.
She swayed
in time to the cadence
and beat of the rhythms
drumming in her heart.
Innocence was hers.
As was beauty.
♥
Timeless, eternal, infinite.
None dared question.
Absorbed as she was
she noticed nothing
but the internal symphony,
the music
that swayed
and moved her
eternally.
♥
The swell,
the growth
the burgeoning,
bursting and erupting
explosions convulsed
shook and shattered
the firmaments
asunder.
♥
In her splendour
she bathed
in the newness
of birth.
A new day.
A new dawn.
A new beginning.
♥
She smiled.
It was
wondrous.

Tom from Beyond the Sphere is Sharing the Light
This was such a wondrous description of birth.
Thank you, Bernadette 🙂
I know this was supposed to be about birth, but it reminded me so much of a little three or four year old girl who was at the movies when we saw Beauty and the Beast. With every song that came on she got out on the steps of the auditorium and danced her heart out. 🙂
Well that is just so cute!
The birth of a child is a wonderful time, although frankly a bit terrifying too.
Luckily you men just get to watch 🙂 Somebody else did all of that for us for us – bless them for loving their children so much they were able to let release them to another family to love and care for them.
Absolutely! I feel the same way about my birth mother and my parents. 🙂
🙂
I love your rhythm and words. Maybe someone should have read this to me during labour 😉
Next time ! Oh wait, you may have finished reproducing 🙂
I love your inspirational posts Raili. And lovely to see Tom’s candles too. ❤
Thanks – seems Tom and I have a ‘thang goin’ on” 🙂
🙂
I’m finally here to comment! 🙂 😀
I enjoyed reading this poem, Raili, it goes through the whole cycle and ends… with a new beginning! Fabulous.
And thank you once again for sharing the candles. 🙂
Thank you, Tom – and it’s my pleasure 🙂
