Echoes of Busy-ness

I have been  far too extremely busy this week I have totally forgotten to take any photos for my Echoes post !

What have I been doing ?

Emptied out son #2’s almost empty bedroom and piled the stuff in the corner of the family room for him to pick up.

Got rid of the dust bunnies in there, dusted and cleaned the cupboards.

TRH put together the two IKEA flat pack bookshelves we bought on Sunday. They went into the empty room. Our books seem to be multiplying like rabbits again. We now have more room for the book rabbits.

Have spent three days moving books around and rearranging book shelves in our bedroom, our TV room, my office, the empty bedroom. Haven’t finished yet.

What that means of course is more rearranging of bookshelves and cupboards, starting with getting rid of yet more dust bunnies. They must be in cahoots with the book rabbits!

Started decorating the new entryway. It’s looking awesome. Not quite ready for the big reveal yet! Watch this space ….

Oh, and did I tell you we went to IKEA? When we renovate, we do IKEA too. And Bunnings of course. We had the obligatory lunch. Then we hit the floor. Because we seem to be best friends with the Big I we know where everything is. And you know what? They disappointed us. The one item we really wanted has been discontinued. How dare they?  Luckily for us  we bought two too many on a previous trip some years ago. TRH gave them to his brother not thinking we would ever use them. He still had them in storage. So they’re coming back home to us. It’s part of the big reveal so I’m not telling what it is.

And TRH has been doing battle with our automated, remote control operated gate which refuses to work. He finally found a place that sells what we need to fix it without it costing an arm and a leg. The problem now is he can’t get it to work.

So that’s been our far too extremely busy week.

      1. lol @ that one. cause, yep, I have 2 and sometimes 3 cats. The fur rolls across the floor and collects, and I can sweep 2 or 3 times a day, I can’t get rid of it. My book shelves are constantly filling with fluff from kitty cats. sighs.
