This week’s theme – Me
Today is the last Sunday in May. The Circle of Friends was conceived as a weekly theme for the month of May. However, suggestions that it continue have led me to re-consider. A weekly theme, however, seems a big ask – of me, and participants. So after this week I will be posting a monthly theme on the third Sunday of each month: starting 19th June; 17th July; 21st August; 18th September; 16th October; 20th November; 18th December.
Here’s a quick recap of what themes we have explored so far this month:
Week One we created mud maps of friendships as a way of illustrating how we view them within a circle of influence.
Week Two focused on close, or special friends.
Week Three we shared stories about gifting.
Week Four explored unique friendships.
In this last week of May the theme is about friendship with the Self. That’s right – your friendship with yourself! Here’s some suggestions you might want to consider to get those creative juices flowing:
How do you show yourself that you’re friends? Where in your mud map do you sit? Are you a special friend? Have you ever given yourself a gift? Is there something unique about your friendship with yourself?
This week’s warm ups:

New to THE CIRCLE of FRIENDS month of May here at Soul Gifts – Telling Tales?
Here’s how it works. Every Sunday of May I will publish a CIRCLE of FRIENDS topic for the week. You are invited to interpret it in any way you like – a story, a poem, a photograph, a quote, a recipe… there is no limit to how friendships are made, nurtured and rekindled. Post your contribution to your own blog with a link to the Circle of Friends. Every Saturday I will magically pull it all together into a post so everyone can enjoy what has been shared. Here they are –
This is Week Three (ADD)
Week Four

i have seen Izzy live a long time ago when i was in Hawaii!!! I am happy i did before it was too late to enjoy the man in person.
He has the most amazing voice. How wonderful to have actually met him, he seems to be such a gentle soul.
he was, and his speaking voice just as soft and sweet, i am a tiny person and standing next to him was really overwhelming but he was a real gentle soul.
Brilliant Raili. Since it’s going to be a monthly theme, then I’ll be able to fit it in. I like the idea that you are keeping it running but at a manageable pace for you 🙂
I really wanted to continue as it seems to resonate so strongly with people, so this seemed a good compromise. Thanks for your support Jacquie 🙂
A pleasure Raili 🙂
This one sounds challenging!
That’s what I thought too – oh #@%! what have I done ?!
Exactly what you were supposed to do! LOL
You’re right of course 🙂
Glad your going to keep it going Raili! 😊 And love Iz’s version!!
Thanks Linda – it feels like it’s the right thing to do. Iz was such a gentle soul with the most amazing voice and presence. One of my new blogging pals actually had the privilege of meeting him. She said it was awesome in so many ways.
I knew this would be a tough one! This kind of reflecting always is ‘cos it’s turning the lens on yourself 🙂
Hi,
I know Donna and Jacqueline. I met you at Jacqueline’s party. I love your header. That’s what bloggers do. We make magic with words. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need a blogging tip or two. That’s what I write about.
