I discovered I love statistics!

I would never in a million years have thought I would say this – I love statistics! Well, these ones anyway. Yesterday I received an email from WordPress.com with my 2015 annual report for this blog. I didn’t know they do that!

“A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,200 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 37 trips to carry that many people.” (excerpt from my annual report)

Here’s just a snippet of what I found out:

I have published 120 posts between 1.8.2015 to 31.12.2015

In that time I have averaged two photos a day

I have had visitors from 31 different countries. Top three – Australia, Finland, USA. That’s not so surprising. However, I have also been visited from India, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, Japan, Philippines, Fiji, Vietnam, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Serbia to name just a few. How cool is that! That’s just from the data WP has been able to collect.

My top referring site is FaceBook, followed by WordPress Reader and some others.

Click here to see the complete report.

As of this morning I have 136 people following me

Being new to blogging this is all so exciting for me. I am humbled, amazed, excited, speechless…

I just want to say a BIG THANKYOU to all my readers, followers, likers, commenters, sharers, referrers –

you know who you are.

These are for you. I picked them from my garden.

I wish I could give them to you personally. I promise you they smell as divine as they look.

  1. You know, the first year I got them I was excited. By the end of this year I realized I didn’t care much. I had discovered what was most interesting to me was people in general. I didn’t hardly glance at mine this year. I guess the newness of it had worn off.

    1. I can understand that. The stats for me is evidence that my scribblings interest people – that is what drives and motivates me. That perhaps what I have to offer makes a difference. And I guess to see how far and wide my blog is spreading 🙂
